Republicans May Vote On Health Care Next Week: Report
Bloomberg reported that GOP lawmakers are ready to try again on an Obamacare repeal, but many difficulties remain.

WASHINGTON, DC — Republican leadership is considering holding a vote on rolling back Obamacare as early as next week, according to a report Wednesday from Bloomberg.
House Republicans are still stinging from the embarrassing debacle of an attempt to pass the American Health Care Act last Friday, which would have cut the deficit and drastically increased the number of uninsured people in the United States, according to the Congressional Budget Office. President Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan both lobbied hard in favor of the bill, but they ultimately pulled the legislation from the House floor mere minutes before a vote was planned because it didn't have enough support to pass.
The Bloomberg report cites two anonymous Republican lawmakers as sources. The reporters also found other Republicans who were apparently unaware of any plans for a second attempt at a vote.

Ryan and Trump both indicated after the showdown on the House floor that they wanted to move on to tax reform and leave Obamacare alone for the time being. And many of the problems, most centrally a divided House majority, that thwarted the AHCA last week, haven't gone away.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has suggested that there's no appetite to take on health care in his chamber of Congress.
"It’s pretty obvious we were not able in the House to pass a replacement," McConnell said Tuesday. "Our Democratic friends ought to be pretty happy about that because we have the existing law in place and I think we’re just going to have to see how that works out."
