Trump's Tweet Over Wasting Time Negotiating With North Korea Apparently Sent From Golf Course

President Trump was apparently golfing Sunday on his course in Bedminster, New Jersey, when he sent a tweet taunting North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un as "Little Rocket Man" and announced that he found negotiating with him to avoid nuclear war was "wasting" time.

According to his timeline on Twitter, Trump sent the tweets at 10:30 and 10:31 Sunday morning.

Minutes later, at 10:40 Sunday morning, a passerby driving on a road outside Trump's Bedminster golf course snapped a photograph of Trump swinging away on what appeared to be the fourth tee and sent the image to Patch.

Later, the president was scheduled to depart for the President's Cup golf tournament in Jersey City.

Earlier Sunday, he praised the governor of Puerto Rico for recovery work following the hurricanes that ravaged the island, pointedly ignoring the mayor of San Juan, who he had bashed the day before for "poor leadership."

During the 2016 campaign, and before, Trump repeatedly criticized President Obama for golfing.

"I just want to stay in the White House and work my ass off," Trump said last year.

Various news outlets have tried to keep track of the number of Trump golf outings, not an easy task given that the president doesn't always announce when he's headed for the fairways. Public accounts indicate the weekend trip to Bedminster was his 10th since taking office.

The White House had initially reported that Trump had no public events on his Sunday schedule. Later, it amended that to include his trip to the President's Cup but made no mention of his own golf outing.
