Former Governor Steven Beshear gave a response to Trump from a Kentucky diner.
Steven Beshear, the former governor of Kentucky, delivered the Democratic response to President Trump's congressional address Tuesday night, shortly after the event finished.
He sat in a small diner in Lexington, Kentucky, with a group of Republicans and Democrats surrounding him as he spoke to a camera. Beshear delivered a short, simple speech, urging Trump to follow through on his promise to support struggling families. He argued that Republican plans for health care and financial regulations will hurt American families, while Trump's stance toward refugees and friendliness with Russia do not reflect American values.
