President Trump Delivers Remarks With Prime Minister Netanyahu (Watch Replay)

The president gave joint remarks alongside the Israeli prime minister in Jerusalem.

JERUSALEM — President Trump delivered public remarks Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem Monday as a part of his first foreign trip in office. You can watch the remarks below on Patch.

Netanyahu has previously praised the president, saying, "There is no greater supporter of the Jewish people and the Jewish state than President Donald Trump." But recent reports suggested that Trump revealed top-level classified information to Russian officials that potentially endangered an Israeli intelligence asset, angering Israeli officials. Before the remarks, Trump said to the press pool, ostensibly about the reports of leaked Israeli intelligence in the Russia meeting, "Folks, just so you know I never mentioned the name Israel. Everyone said I did." In fact, this claim was not made by the press reports.

NBC's Andrea Mitchell noted that Trump's remarks seemed to support the reports of his intelligence leaking: "His comments just confirmed it was Israel something no U.S official had admitted!!" she wrote on Twitter.

Netanyahu added to Trump's comments, "The intelligence cooperation is terrific."
