Watch: Sean Spicer Is Back On 'Saturday Night Live' As Melissa McCarthy Hosts
McCarthy and the people of "Saturday Night Live" didn't hold back in their latest portrayal of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
NEW YORK, NY — Melissa McCarthy once again revived her much lauded impersonation of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on this week's "Saturday Night Live," in what the show's writers seem to think may be Spicer's last appearance on the show. The show also introduced a new impression by Aidy Bryant, who played Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Watch the full scene below.
McCarthy's Spicer was back with many of familiar standing gags — mocking Spicer's gum-chewing habit, his aggressiveness with reporters and his fervent and absolutist defenses of the president. With a nod to some recent press reports that President Trump is considering replacing Spicer as the face of White House communications, the skit ends with the press secretary on the verge of losing his job and includes clips of McCarthy riding down the streets of New York City on the press room lectern looking for Trump. But then the skit takes a turn for the truly bizarre, closing with a kiss between McCarthy and Alec Baldwin as Trump in a choice that may press up against the bounds of good taste. It's hard not to think that this particular scene was intentionally written to goad the real Trump into some kind of reaction, as it's widely known that he has tuned in to previous episodes of the show.

Yet overall, McCarthy's performance as Spicer continues to bring the laughs, whether she's bringing out — what else? — Russian dolls to explain the firing of FBI Director James Comey or throwing a decorative column at overly inquisitive reporters. Let us know what you think of the scene in the comments below.
