I have been an editor for Patch since August 2011.

My love for journalism began in the fourth grade when I started a newspaper, the St. Bernard Gazette, at school. We published a couple of issues before my staff decided they didn't want to stay inside for recess to work on it anymore.

I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in mass communications, print journalism sequence, and a minor in communication studies. I have one child: a seven-year-old named Faith who is in second grade. She loves school and figure skating.

Before coming to Patch, I was the editor of two weekly newspapers in MN. I spent two years as the editor of the Pine City Pioneer in Pine City before my company moved me to Cambridge to edit the Isanti-Chisago County Star for another two years.

Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Pilots New Water Education Program

During the first year of the pilot in 2013, the program will focus on the Minneapolis neighborhoods surrounding Minnehaha Creek and the Chain of Lakes. In the second year, the program will expand to additional neighborhoods in Minneapolis and suburbs.

Minnetonka Couple Dies in Monday Crash on I-94

Judith Reid and Sean Ray, both of Minnetonka, were killed on Interstate 94 in blizzard-like conditions. Evan Ray, a student at Minnetonka High School, remains in a Fargo hospital.
