Walpole Obituary: Robert J. Madden
Mr. Madden worked at the former Bird Machine Shop in Walpole.

Ben Paulin is a graduate of Suffolk University where he studied journalism. While at Suffolk he was the editor-in-chief of the award-winning student newspaper the Suffolk Journal. Ben worked for a year at the Boston Globe city desk covering breaking news and events in and around Boston. Before that he interned at the Boston Metro newspaper covering news and arts for the daily for over a year. After school he worked as a freelancer covering community news for Easton Patch.
<b> </b>
In his spare time, Ben likes to read, watch Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics games, play basketball, go skiing in the winter, and enjoy the outdoors. He also enjoys going to the movies and hanging out with friends.
<strong>Your Beliefs</strong>
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.
<b>Politics</b>
How do you describe your political beliefs ? Are you registered with any political party?
I am not registered with any political party. I believe that the best candidate/politician is someone who is looking out for the best interests of the people, whether it conflicts with their personal ideals or not. I think it is important to hear both sides of an argument when considering making even the smallest changes that will effect everyday people.
<b><b>Religion</b></b>
How religious would you consider yourself? (casual, observant, devout, non religious)
I am a Christian. I believe in God and pray everyday. That being said I respect every persons' right to believe in what they believe. That's what makes this country great!
