This free, community event will feature a morning of engaging workshops that explore the power of culture and creative expression in advancing Dr. King’s message and legacy. This year’s event will feature a series of eight breakout sessions, each offered twice during the program. Attendees will select and attend two workshops, allowing for an immersive experience.

<ul><li>Everyday Inventions &amp; Mini-Maker Challenge&nbsp;with Ramona Riviere, Sterling Community Center</li><li> Empathy Path: Walk in My Shoes with Nikkya Hargrove, Author and Owner of Odobo Serendipity Books</li><li>Community in Action: Fulfilling the Dream with Marc Maignan, Art Educator, Stratford Public Schools</li><li>Dr. King’s Dream: A Requiem for Reparations with Donald Smart, Esq., The Smart Law Firm</li><li>The King &amp; I: Applying MLK’s Life and Legacy Today with Matthew Bonito, Historian and Educator</li><li>Storytelling with Master Storyteller Laconia Therrio</li><li>The Building of an African American History Museum with Jeffrey A. Fletcher, Founder of the Ruby &amp; Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum</li><li>Dr. King’s Work with the Greater Bridgeport NAACP</li></ul>

Students: You are eligible to receive credit for 3 service hours for attending the full program/panels.
