Civic Music MKE, Neighbor

As one of Milwaukee’s oldest arts organizations, CIVIC MUSIC MKE has been active in developing the musical life of its community since 1918. CIVIC MUSIC’s mission is to support music education and provide performance opportunities for young musicians in the greater Milwaukee area. Youth music programs allow participating instrumentalists and vocalists to hone beneficial life skills like creative thinking and collaboration through the study of music. Through private lessons, auditions, masterclasses, workshops, solo performances and award programs, CIVIC MUSIC offers life changing experiences through the joy and fulfillment of making music, reaching over 350 young musicians each year in the five county Greater Milwaukee. CIVIC MUSIC also recognizes and celebrates our community’s music educators and Milwaukee area citizens who have provided inspiration, education and resources to ensure that music continues to thrive in our community.
