Experience a radiant celebration of voice, spirit, and sisterhood as the Concord Singers present Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria and Reena Esmail's I Rise: Women in Song. These two monumental choral works are brought to life with chamber orchestra, under the direction of Matthew Zabiegala.
Vivaldi's Gloria shines with exuberance and grace, showcasing the brilliance of treble voices in intricate Baroque counterpoint and joyful praise.
In contrast, Reena Esmail's I Rise: Women in Song bridges cultures, weaving Hindustani musical idioms with western classical traditions to create a soundscape that is both ancient and boldly new. Drawn exclusively from the works of female poets, Esmail's 5-movement work uplifts voices of strength, hope, and transformation. 
Together, these two works form a transcendent program that honors the power of women's artistry across centuries and continents.
