Vince Rossi, an Oak Forest High School graduate, is heavily featured in a recent, increasingly popular College Humor video. Rossi moved to California nearly two years ago, to pursue a career in acting, modeling and singing.
The Oak Forest High School Madrigal Fest takes place Saturday, Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 9, at the high school. Tickets cost $25 and must be purchased in advance.
The Oak Forest City Council approved a new three-year contract with World Data Systems in Tinley Park to process the city's credit card payments. The contract is expected to save the city more than $12,000 per year.

Harvey resident Jessica M. McCottrell was alledgedly found by police to have 22 tinfoil packages containing just over 13 grams of heroin on her person after a police search. McCotrell claimed the heroin was not hers.

The Acorn Public Library will hold an event featuring the "Scaredy Squirrel" series on Saturday, Nov. 17. The event is open to children ages 4 to 7 and their parents.
