Leah Bush graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2005 with a Bachelors in Philosophy and Pre-Law. Her work with the American Red Cross National Headquarters Hurricane Katrina Recovery Project in Washington, D.C. fostered an interest in investigative writing which led to the beginning of her journalism career at a blog where she wrote about domestic and international social activism issues. While continuing to blog, Leah worked as a stringer with The Oyster Bay Guardian newspaper in her hometown of Oyster Bay, NY and for multiple Patch sites throughout Long Island. She is honored to be the editor of both Syosset Patch and Glen Cove Patch.
