You may be eligible for a research study in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Tennessee or Colorado looking to answer this question:

What are the effects of vaping e-cigs compared to smoking regular cigarettes during pregnancy?

This is a confidential, stigma-free observational only study, which means you won't be asked to change or quit smoking or vaping.

There is no drug testing in this study.

This study can be done completely over the phone and online and compensates up to $400.

You may be eligible if you:

- Are at least 18 years old

- Are currently pregnant

AND one of the following:

- Currently smoke cigarettes everyday OR

- Currently use an e-cigarette vaping device everyday OR

- Use both products

AND

-Plan to deliver at Uconn Health, Hartford Hospital or any Hartford Healthcare Hospital

If you take part in the study, you will be asked to:

- Attend up to 3 visits online or by phone (pending your due date, approximately 12 weeks apart),

1st visit compensates $100 is about 2 hours, other visits are 30 minutes and compensate $50 each

- Complete brief monthly calls and one call 3 months after delivery

You may receive financial compensation up to $400 if eligible.
