Enjoy Big Band Jazz from one of the finest big bands on Florida's Westcoast. The Sarasota Jazz Project is directed by co-founder, George McLain. Comprised of some of the best musicians on the Gulf Coast, the seventeen piece band plays the music of the great big bands of the past as well as original compositions and arrangements. The Project Band features music from the American Songbook and some classic jazz standards. Admission paid at the door, Jazz Club members $15 - Guests $20.

On December 29, Monday Night Jazz features the Jeff Rupert Quartet. Jeff Rupert is a Trustee Chair, Pegasus Professor, and Director of Jazz Studies at UCF. An outstanding saxophonist, he has worked with Benny Carter, Maynard Ferguson, Diane Schuur, Mel Tormé, Ernestine Anderson, and other jazz notables. Also a composer, record producer, and recording artist, Rupert is the leader of the Jazz Professors. Doors to FST’s Court Cabaret open 6:30 for food and beverages; showtime is 7:30 pm. The 2025 Jazz Club of Sarasota Scholarship Recipients perform in concert and jazz jam format. Please come to show support and encouragement for the talented youngsters. Concert benefit’s the Jazz Club’s scholarship fund. The group performed to rave reviews at Fogartyville Art &amp; Media Center this past June. Admission paid at the door, Jazz Club members $15 - Guests $20.

Jazz at Two presents the Jazz Club's 2025 Scholarship Recipients

Eddie Tobin, on piano and vocals, is one of Sarasota’s favorite entertainers. Tobin has opened for Kenny Rogers and performed extensively with Brenda Lee. For eight years, he toured the world as pianist and music director for Englebert Humperdinck. After moving to Sarasota, he joined the area’s favorite club band, the Venturas in 2004. Always a fun show! Admission paid at the door. Jazz Club members $15 - Guests $20.

Monday Night Jazz at the Cabaret on January 12 presents an evening of jazz featuring Paul Gavin and Friends in downtown Sarasota at the John C Court Cabaret. Gavin was one of the highlight performers of the 2024&nbsp;Sarasota Jazz Festival with his Mosaic Band tribute to Art Blakey‘s Jazz Messengers. Recently relocated to the Bay area, from NYC where she performed in all the top jazz clubs. Since arriving in Florida, Barbara has wowed audiences and received rave reviews at every performance. Pete Carney returns to Jazz at Two with a tribute to a great musical!&nbsp;Jazz versions of songs from West Side Story have been created by numerous artists, with classic interpretations by the Oscar Peterson Trio, Cal Tjader, and Buddy Rich and in later years, Bobby Sanabria's large ensemble and Ted Nash's trio. This week, State College of Florida’s Director of Jazz Studies, Pete Carney along with Pablo Arencibia-piano, Dave Rudolph-drums and Geoff Neuman-bass, perform music from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story at Jazz at Two. Concert 2 - 4 pm. Admission at the door $15-20.

Bruyn returns to Jazz at the Cabaret after a previous outstanding show featuring the Music of Stevie Wonder.
