Happy Father's Day! Here's what you have to say about what you learned from your dad.
Susan Larson is a writer and photographer who moved to Fredericksburg from Northern Virginia in November 2012. She previously worked as editor of Burke Patch and Fairfax Station Patch. She is a member of the Society for Professional Journalists.
Larson began her journalism career in high school, writing for her local community newspaper, The Addison Leader. At Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, she majored in Broadcast Journalism.
Larson worked for WOAI (CBS) News Radio, and hosted a weekly jazz program on KRTU Radio. She then worked on the production crew for KMOL (NBC) Television. When the Today Show broadcast live from the Riverwalk, Larson was behind one of the cameras.
In 2006 Larson earned a Master's Degree in Information Science and Library Services from the University of South Carolina online cohort, and had a tenure providing online library services and social media for Fairfax County Public Library.
Susan loves animals, and spends most of her free time riding her horse.
