Senator Seeks to Speed Up Death Penalty Process
Sen. Joel Anderson introduces two measures that would change the way death penalty cases are appealed. “Justice delayed is justice denied,” according to Anderson.

Tom Roebuck grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to San Diego after graduating from The Ohio State University. He spent 14 years with Copley News Service as the night wire desk editor, travel editor and features writer.
After the Copley ship sank in 2008 he continued writing feature stories for Creators Syndicate and joined Patch in September 2010 to launch the Encinitas site and cover city government.
In January 2011 he became associate local editor for all Patch sites in San Diego County, assisting the local editors and supervising all the sites on the weekends.
In March 2012 he got a site of his own as local editor of Poway Patch. Currently he is field editor for Patch sites in Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties.
He continues to struggle with an addiction to chicken wings.
