City officials and Utah PTA’s president highlight how advocacy learned in Cottonwood Heights has helped secure funding, safety programs, and family engagement that benefit students in neighborhood schools along Bengal Boulevard and beyond.

The city council and planning commission are forming subcommittees, reviewing past master plans, and scheduling more joint meetings so residents’ priorities shape future development and services.

Bodycam footage shows traffic stop just days before Utah dad took kids on dangerous hike (fox13now.com) — A recent bodycam video shows Cottonwood Heights police impounding a local father’s unregistered, uninsured truck during an October traffic stop, days before he took his children on a dangerous Big Cottonwood Canyon hike. Officers expressed concern about his mental state and firearms in the vehicle, ultimately releasing the guns to a friend while warning him about stormy hiking conditions.
