• Spartans ignite the mats at Dave Smith Memorial (etvnews.com) — Emery High’s wrestlers just grabbed a strong fourth-place team finish at the Dave Smith Memorial Duals in Price, highlighted by several standout individual records. The Spartans now head to Altamont on Dec. 17, South Sevier on Dec. 18, and the Christmas Clash in Farmington Dec. 19–20, giving local fans multiple chances this week to cheer them on.
   

• USU Extension kicks off 2026 with Price Beef Field Day Jan. 9 (castlecountryradio.com) — Cattle producers in Emery County are invited to a USU Extension Beef Field Day in Price on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at USU Eastern’s Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. The workshop will cover market outlook, drought strategies, nutrition, and reproductive efficiency, with $20 registration ($10 off for students) and lunch included; Emery County residents can also register by phone through their local Extension office.
