What could Canada’s election mean for New England, U.S.?
New England-Canada Business Council hosts expert insider preview webinar event on Wednesday, Sept. 15

Are you a New Englander looking for some expert insights into the most important issues driving Canada’s upcoming parliamentary elections on September 20? Wondering how the election’s outcome could affect U.S.-Canada business, trade, and political relations?
The New England-Canada Business Council welcomes you to join their members for a free, one-hour webinar being held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to noon featuring two veterans of Canadian government who now lead Prospectus Associates in Ottawa, one of Canada’s leading full-service public affairs consulting firms: Principal and Co-Founder William J. Pristanski and Senior Partner Bruce Hartley. You can register for the webinar here.
Pristanski and Hartley bring both political and ideological diversity and expert insight to the discussion, as former top Canadian officials in Conservative and Liberal governments, respectively. Pristanski served for four years as Executive Assistant to Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and later served as Canada’s Minister of the Environment, President of the Treasury Board, and chief of staff to Canada’s solicitor general. He works as the trusted government relations advisor to the C-suite of several corporations and advises North American companies on building positive relationships with governments in Canada, both at the federal and provincial levels.

He has experienced successful Canadian election campaigns both in the War Room and on the Leader’s Tour.
“As Canadians prepare to elect members to the House of Commons this month, Bill and Bruce are uniquely positioned to provide New Englanders who have an interest in Canadian affairs with savvy, insider insight into how the campaign is unfolding and what its outcome could mean for our economic and cultural relationship with our country’s closest and dearest ally, Canada,’’ said NECBC President Peter J. Howe, a Senior Advisor at Denterlein, a Boston strategic communications consulting firm. “We couldn’t be more grateful to them and to Prospectus Associates for sharing their time and unique expertise with NECBC members and guests.”
