• Essex Junction to allow nine-story housing, council adopts Connect the Junction Master Plan (essexreporter.com) — Essex Junction’s council has approved a transit-oriented master plan that could allow nine-story (or even ten-story with bonuses) housing along Pearl Street while keeping the historic village core at four stories. The plan also guides future changes at Five Corners, adds design rules to avoid “canyon-like” buildings, and aims to meet long-term housing targets with better transit and pedestrian connections.
