• Man pleads guilty to 1986 killing of Manchester's Sarah Hunter (ctpublic.org) — A decades-old Manchester tragedy has reached closure as David Morrison received life in prison for the 1986 killing of local golf pro Sarah Hunter, who worked at Manchester Country Club. Local prosecutors and investigators, including lifelong Manchester resident State’s Attorney Erica Marthage, described how renewed investigative work and a prison interview finally secured Morrison’s confession and conviction nearly 40 years later.

• Teens in Southwest Vermont Are Building an Airplane (sevendaysvt.com) — Manchester-area teens can join a unique Southwest Tech program where students are helping build a real two-seat airplane in a Bennington workshop. Led by longtime southern Vermont resident and aerospace engineer Jim Sharkey, the hands-on project teaches skills like metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and documentation, and is open to any student from the Bennington–Manchester catchment area.
   

• Bradford Man's Camper Van Biz Was a Fraud, Feds Say (sevendaysvt.com) — A Manchester couple are among several customers who say they lost tens of thousands of dollars to a Bradford-based camper van conversion business now at the center of a federal wire fraud case. Prosecutors allege the owner misused nearly $500,000 from clients across several states, some of whom had to retrieve unfinished vans and pay others to complete their builds.
