Car Show in Annandale, Controversial Library Program Suspended

Happy Friday, Annandale! Here's a quick list of five things to keep in mind as you look forward to the weekend.

1. In case you missed it, the Fairfax County Library Board of Trustees voted Wednesday night to suspend a controversial pilot program that would reduce staffing and make additional changes to libraries across the county. Read all about the decision.
2. There will be a car show and Elvis tribute concert at Juke Box Diner, located at 7039 Columbia Pike, tonight at 6 p.m.
3. The Ilda Pool will host a rummage sale to buy equipment for the W.T. Woodson Crew Team on Saturday. The sale starts at 9 a.m. There will be books, clothes, toys, bikes and more items for sale. Details here.
