Safeway Store on Little River Turnpike Robbed Friday Night: Police

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police say the Little River Turnpike Safeway was robbed Friday night. The store, located in the 7400 block of Little River Turnpike (see map below), was robbed at around 7:25 p.m.

Police responded for a report of a man who entered the business, approached an employee at a register, and took cash. The suspect assaulted another employee as he fled, police said. Neither victim required medical attention.

The suspect was described as white, 40 to 45 years old, about 6 feet tall, and wearing a black jacket and pants.
