3 People Hospitalized After Propane Truck Crash On I-395 In Arlington
A propane truck crashed on southbound I-395 in Arlington on Tuesday, leading to the closure of the highway and arrival of hazmat crews.

ARLINGTON, VA — A propane truck crashed on southbound Interstate 395 in Arlington Tuesday afternoon, leading to the closure of the highway.
Three people were hospitalized after the crash of the tanker and another vehicle around 1:15 p.m., according to the Arlington County Fire Department. Hazmat crews worked with law enforcement and a tow company to turn the propane truck upright.
The crash occurred on southbound I-395 at Shirlington Circle. Southbound traffic on I-395 was re-routed into Shirlington.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said southbound I-395 reopened at Shirlington Circle shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexandria's DASH Line 35 and 36 buses experienced slight delays around Shirlington due to the crash, the transit company said.
Virginia State Police said the crash caused the tanker truck to catch fire.
