If you already have a furry friend, the Animal Welfare League offers tons of events for you and your pet.
Coming up on Saturday is the AWLA Animal Ambassadors: Foster Program Info Session. This info session is part of the AWLA's Foster Program that focuses on getting adoption ready dogs and cats out of the kennels and into foster homes so that their personalities can shine.
"Animal Ambassadors is a little different from our regular Foster Program; since these pets will be available for adoption from their foster home, foster families will be an active, integral part of finding a permanent family for their foster pets," AWLA said. "During our info session we’ll go over fostering basics, training philosophies, and how to market your foster pet and help find them a new home! Of course, AWLA will provide all supplies and medical care you will need for your foster pet."
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the AWLA at 2650 South Arlington Mill Dr., Arlington.
