Apparent Drug-Related Crash Kills Arlington Man In West Virginia
An Arlington man died after the car he was in struck a tree and split in half in West Virginia, police said.

MARTINSBURG, WV — An Arlington man died in a fiery crash after he left a night club in Martinsburg, West Virginia Sunday morning, local police said.
MetroNews reports Antwuan Barnes was a passenger in a car that tore in half after hitting a tree. The accident happened on Baltimore Street at about 3 a.m.
Police said the driver, identified as Ladell Webb of Martinsburg, was speeding in a 2013 Toyota Rav4 and hit a tree on the passenger side.

“The vehicle, occupied by a driver and passenger, struck a tree at a high rate of speed and had been sheered in half,” according to a police press release. “The front half of the car was located beside the tree and the back half of the vehicle was found approximately 75 feet away.”
Both Barnes and Webb were pronounced dead at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Police believe drugs and alcohol were involved in the crash.
