Arlington Man Arrested In Huge Drug Bust At William & Mary
A William & Mary college student from Arlington was reportedly arrested as part of a drug ring connected to sexual assaults, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, VA — A college student from Arlington was said to be one of 10 people arrested in a drug sweep this week. The bust occurred at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, stemming from an investigation that had been underway for months as a result of sexual assaults.
Eight students, an associate professor and a man who works at the school's dining services were arrested in the bust, according to reports. Police said they have no indication that the suspects were working together.
Nicholas George Manuel, 22, of Arlington was one of eight students from the College of William & Mary charged with drug distribution as well as selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a school, police said.

Manuel was charged with one count of Distribution of Schedule I and one count of selling within 1,000 feet of a school.
Authorities said they launched an investigation after receiving information about unreported sexual assaults linked to increased drug activity around the campus.

Richmond Times-Dispatch reports Gi Sang Yoon, 40, is an associate biology professor at the school. Yoon was charged with two felony counts of Distribution of Marijuana, as well as one count of possession of Hashish.
Timothy Tyrone Pryor, 27, who works in dining services, faces a felony marijuana distribution charges.
During the investigation, police said the following drugs were seized:
- LSD
- Cocaine
- Psilocybin (mushrooms)
- Opioids
- Amphetamines
- Steroids
- Hashish
- Marijuana
Officials said they also recovered approximately $14,000 in cash.
“We were told the assaults were occurring because of increased drug use,” Williamsburg police Maj. Greg Riley told Richmond Times-Dispatch.
All were taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where they were booked and processed.
The suspects had allegedly sold drugs to undercover officers, which was captured on surveillance, according to the CBS affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia.
Since the illegal drug activity on and around the campus is ongoing, police said additional arrests and charges are possible.
