Arlington Woman Asks For Funds To Help Dog With Cancer
An Arlington woman is asking for donations to finance chemotherapy treatments for her beloved dog who was diagnosed with bone cancer.
ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington woman is asking for donations to finance chemotherapy treatments for her beloved dog Australian Shepard dog, Charlie Brown, who was diagnosed with the bone cancer osteosarcoma.
"Charlie, at just seven years old, has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. I truly cannot believe that I am writing this or that this is happening to him," Charlie's owner, Rachel Kamvar, wrote on GoFundMe.
Charlie had his first chemo session about two weeks ago, with help from the fundraiser. He is scheduled to have four more chemo sessions, his owner said.

In one month, $2,872 was raised through the GoFundMe page. Kamvar hopes to reach $10,000.
"To anyone who knows me, Charlie has always been my everything for the past six and a half years. To those of you who do not know Charlie, he is one of the sassiest and most courageous Aussies you'll ever meet. He's been my rock through so many ups and downs, and now it's my turn to be his," Rachel said.
