BurgerFi To Open New Restaurant In Rosslyn This Fall: Report

ARLINGTON, VA — A hamburger chain, BurgerFi, will be moving into a space in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood previously occupied by Brown Bag and The Perfect Pita, according to a report.

The Florida-based burger chain has leased a 2,500-square-foot space at 1735 N. Lynn Street in Arlington, next to the Chipotle at the corner of N. Lynn Street and Wilson Boulevard, Washington Business Journal reported Monday.

BurgerFi has other Northern Virginia restaurants in Leesburg and Woodbridge. Its locations in Maryland include restaurants in North Bethesda, Silver Spring, National Harbor and Gaithersburg.

The franchisee for BurgerFi, Punam Khandpur, told Washington Business Journal that she believes Rosslyn could support the restaurant based on a concentration of younger people working in the area and an increase in lunch business in the area since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new restaurant is scheduled to open in late September or early October.

BurgerFi, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was named "The Very Best Burger" at the 2023 edition of the SOBE Wine and Food Festival, "Best Fast Casual Restaurant" in USA Today's 10 Best 2023 Readers' Choice Awards for the third consecutive year, QSR Magazine's Breakout Brand of 2020 and Fast Casual's 2021 #1 Brand of the Year.
