ARLINGTON, VA — Police are investigating after they say a man went behind the counter of an Arlington business, took merchandise, and then threatened an employee who confronted him.

Police were called to the 3500 block of Fairfax Drive on Aug. 8 to a report of a robbery, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"[A]t approximately 6:02 a.m., the suspect entered a business and went behind the counter, took merchandise and threatened an employee before selecting additional merchandise and fleeing the business," the report states.

Police described the man as black and wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
