ARLINGTON, VA — People who tried to take the Metro in Arlington on Thursday faced major delays due to a signal problem at the Rosslyn station, according to reports.

WMATA's @Metrorailinfo Twitter account reported just before 8 a.m. that riders should expect delays to National Airport, Vienna, and Wiehle-Reston on the Orange, Silver, and Blue lines due to a signal problem at Rosslyn.

Silver Line riders coming from west of the area had to disembark at Ballston and get on Orange Line trains to continue their trips, while riders approaching from the south on the Blue Line had to transfer onto the Blue and Orange lines at L'Enfant Plaza to get to Rosslyn. There was no train service to Arlington Cemetery at all, with buses requested between Rosslyn and the Pentagon.
