Water Main Break In Arlington Causes Road Closures
BREAKING NEWS: An 8-inch water main break caused a road to crack in Arlington Thursday morning. Drivers should seek alternate routes.

ARLINGTON, VA — Drivers should seek alternative routes near southbound Glebe Road after a water main break caused a road to crack in Arlington Thursday morning.
Crews are on the scene of the emergency repair Thursday morning.
The 8-inch break caused closures on the road between 18th and 20th streets. A single-lane on northbound Glebe Road remains open.

Arlington Department of Environmental Services says residents can take a detour southbound on Glebe Road from Walter Reed to 20th Street. There are also police guiding drivers to detours.
The repairs will take several hours to complete and likely last into the afternoon, officials said.
