The sheriff's office believes speed may have been a factor in the crash, but there was no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved.

Supervisor Matt Letourneau, who represents the area in the Dulles District, asked residents not to speculate on the crash out of respect for the family.

"My prayers are with the family of the deceased," Letourneau shared after the sheriff's office identified the victim.
