ASHBURN, VA — After the State Corporation Commission denied the proposal for higher tolls for the Dulles Greenway, the toll road's owner is seeking a federal lawsuit.

Loudoun Now first reported on the federal lawsuit from the Dulles Greenway owners. The toll road owner is challenging a state law that governs toll rates in addition to the SCC's action.

In September, the SCC rejected a request from toll road operator Toll Road Investors Partnership II to increase the Dulles Greenway toll rates. The proposal would have hiked tolls from $5.80 to $8.10 during peak hours and $5.25 to $6.40 during off-peak hours.
