Alice Foley Meredith, 72

Alice Foley Meredith, 72, of Leesburg, VA, passed away March 5, 2013, from complications related to Alzheimer’s disease.

Alice was born in Boston, MA, Jan. 1, 1941. She graduated from Roslindale High School in 1958 and continued on to graduate from Boston Clerical School in 1959.

Alice was married to Ellis “Bud” Meredith.

Alice held several professional positions until her retirement in 2005, but her passion for animal rescue was her proudest accomplishment. Alice rescued and cared for abused and unwanted Shih Tzus.

Alice is survived by her two children, Candace Rodal and Scott Corcoran of Lovettsville, VA; her three grandchildren, John Rodal Jr., Jacob Rodal and Rebecca Rodal of Lovettsville, VA; her sister, Margaret Foley of Boston, MA; and her brother, Walter Foley of Littleton, MA; as well as 17 nieces and nephews.

Alice is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ellis “Bud” Meredith of Bethesda, MD; parents, Francis G. and Alice E. Foley; sisters, Dorothy Ryan and Barbara Mariano; and brother Robert Foley.

Services and interment will be held privately.
