David Lee White Sr., 75

David Lee White Sr., 75, of Leesburg, VA, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.

David was born Sunday, June 6, 1937, in Winchester, VA. The son of Strother Taylor White and Alice (Gillie) White, David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert White. David grew up in Middleburg, VA. He was a graduate of Loudoun County High School and served his country in the National Guard. He worked for Safeway for more than 30 years as the assistant manager. He also worked for the Village Market in Purcellville, VA. In recent years, he worked for Heritage High School.

He was a member of Cornerstone Chapel.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Cecile Jeanne White, of Leesburg; six sons: Gene Mills and wife Cheryl of Leesburg, VA, Tab White and wife Angie of Winchester, VA, Rick White and wife Jessica of Winchester, VA, Allen Mills of Leesburg, VA, David Lee White Jr. and wife Heather of Hamilton, VA, and Wesley White and fiancée Kelly Wenner of Brunswick, MD; and 17 grandchildren. He also is survived by his sister, Susan Hottle, and brother-in-law Johnny, of Aldie, VA; and sister-in-law Jan White, of Aldie.

A funeral service was held Jan. 25 and the family received friends the night before. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Loudoun County Animal Shelter, 39820 Charles Town Mail Stop #66, Waterford, VA 20197.
