
Doris Jones McKimmey, 61, of Lucketts, VA, died peacefully at home Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, after a long battle with breast cancer.
Born Feb. 11, 1951, in Virginia Beach, she was the daughter of Jeanette C. Jones and the late Bruce E. Jones Sr. She graduated from Loudoun County High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. She had a passion for teaching and taught for 29 years as an elementary school teacher with Loudoun County Public Schools. As a member of Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church, she served as an Elder and taught both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years C.B. McKimmey Jr., daughter Rachel Davis, and son Aaron McKimmey, all of Lucketts; mother Jeanette C. Jones, of Gainesville, VA; and brother Bruce E. Jones Jr. of Salisbury, MD.

Friends may call Friday, Feb. 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church in Lucketts. There will be a private interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church, 14188 Chapel Lane, Leesburg, VA 20176.
