Doris Lee Danner, 81

Mrs. Doris Lee Danner, 81, of Purcellville, VA, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.

Doris was born June 1, 1931, in Bakerton, WV. She was a daughter of the late Earl V. Higgs and the late Elsie E. Harding. Doris had a passion for family gatherings and visits from the grandchildren. She loved her grandkids. She enjoyed fishing and canning vegetables and fruits from her garden. She also loved crocheting and embroidering.

She was the wife of Clifton “Peanut” Danner of 65 years. Besides her husband, Doris is survived by six children: James Clifton Danner of Winchester, VA, Robert William Danner and wife Carol of Lovettsville, Michael Eugene Danner and wife Debbie of Martinsburg, WV, Janet and her husband Gary Seltzer, Sr. of Charles Town, WV, Linda K. Caprio and friend John of Hedgesville, WV, Dixie and her husband Brett Blackford of Kearneysville, WV; a brother: Roger L. Higgs of Pittsburgh, PA; plus 22 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren, with three more on the way. She is also survived by dear friend Bobby Ann Kidwell.

Services were held Jan. 12.
