Earl Artius Dade, 68

Mr. Earl Artius Dade, 68, of Blacksburg, VA, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in Arlington, VA. Earl was born April 3, 1944, in Washington, DC. He was a son of the late Ophelia Dade. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandmother Florence Wilkerson.

Earl lived in Loudoun and worked as a technician with Woodward Research Hazelton Laboratory in McLean. He also worked as a porter with Golf of Reston, and later for the Madeira School.

Earl leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Norma Dade (Leon Hogan) of Leesburg, VA and Carolyn Dade (Joseph Morris) of Leesburg, VA; his son Brian & Melanie Dade of Woodbridge; two brothers: Ronald Dade of Blacksburg and Maurice Dade of Leesburg; his former wife Ada Dade of Leesburg; four grandchildren: Jalisa, Keshia, Larisha and Andre Dade; one great grandchild, Doreon Dade; and special friends Carl Ceasar and Gladys Paige of Leesburg.

A funeral service will be at noon Friday, March 1, 2013, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, in Leesburg. The family will receive guests from 11 a.m. until the service begins. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Leesburg.
