Harry J. Zagorites, 56

Harry J. Zagorites, 56, of Leesburg, VA, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.

He was born July 25, 1956, in Lowell, MA. Professionally, Harry dedicated his life to photography and art. Most recently, Harry was advertising photo studio Director for Macy’s Mid-West, and Hecht’s Mid-Atlantic. Harry graduated from Dracut High School. He attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and graduated from the New England School of Photography. He started his career in Boston before moving to the Washington, DC, area.

He was the beloved husband of Jane (Longval) Zagorites, devoted father of Alexa Zagorites, and Peter and his wife Angela Zagorites; loving Papi of Charlotte, Genevieve, Rocco and Roman. Harry also is survived by his mother, Rita (Brunelle) Zagorites; brothers, Peter (Linda) Zagorites, Brian (Melissa) Zagorites; sister, Darlene Zagorites; sisters-in-law, Louise (Larry) West, and Meryl Longval; brothers in law Mark Longval, and David Longval. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory.

Harry was predeceased by his father, Peter Zagorites, and his sister Brenda, and her husband Jack Patterson. 

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 at Saint Michael’s Church, 543 Bridge Street, in Lowell, MA. Burial will be private.
