Ruth Marie Burgan, 68

Mrs. Ruth Marie Burgan, 68, of Dickerson, MD, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

Marie was a woman with an enormous heart who enjoyed helping her neighbors and spending time with her loving grandchildren. She also had a strong appreciation of nature and took pleasure in her flower gardening.

Mrs. Burgan was born June 26, 1944, in Great Falls, MD. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Wesley Davis and the late Ruth Maholland Davis. She was blessed with a large family that she leaves to cherish her memory, including her husband Joseph Charles Burgan of Dickerson, MD; seven children: Juanita Davis, Ruth Davis, Robert Johnson, Peggy Branham, Wesley Harrison, Vernice Harrison and Wayne Harrison; and her brother, William Lee Davis; as well as 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE in Leesburg. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Interment will be in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
