App Developers: Keep Canoeists From Getting Stuck Up the Creek

The American Canoe Association(ACA) is accepting proposals from individuals, organizations and businesses to develop and produce a safe-paddling mobile application.

"As part of our leadership role in boating safety, the ACA has obtained funding through the U.S. Coast Guard to develop and launch a free, user-friendly safe-paddling application for the iPhone and Android operating systems," the national nonprofit said. 

For more information, and to receive a copy of the official Request for Proposal (RFP) for the project, contact the ACA Communications Coordinator. Proposals must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14.

The American Canoe Association (ACA) is a member-based nonprofit providing education related to all aspects of paddling; stewardship support to help protect paddling environments; and sanctioning of programs and events to promote paddle sport competition and recreation.
