Loudoun County voters had approved bond funding for the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center in a November 2016 referendum. The new two-story facility will offer a 50-meter competition pool, leisure pool, spa, the Loudoun County parks and recreation system's largest full-size gymnasium, a sensory room, multipurpose room with a teaching kitchen, licensed preschool and childcare classrooms, offices and meeting spaces. The indoor basketball gymnasium will have twelve basketball hoops and include game line markings for basketball, badminton, pickleball and volleyball.

The second floor hosts fitness areas, a running track, a dedicated cycling studio, spectator seating for the competition pool and a viewing area for the leisure pool. The center also has a recovery room with hydromassage and cryo lounges, Normatec compression, and red light therapy.

A multi-use trail is located outside along with a large courtyard with seating, a splash play area and a playground for children aged 2 to 12 years.
The facility was designed to be LEED Silver certified, and the certification is pending.

The center will offer classes and programs for all ages, such as sports, arts and crafts, cooking, sensory room programs, and group exercise classes. Classes and programs are expected to begin in fall 2025. Classes will be available to view online beginning on July 18, and sign-ups will start on Aug. 7 through PRCS Connect.
Enrollment for preschool is now open, and child care enrollment is expected to start in the late summer.
The center is also hiring for part-time and full-time jobs.
This will be Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services' third recreation and community center, joining the Claude Moore and Dulles South Recreation and Community Centers.
