Broadlands South Kitchen Fire Displaces Eight
The Loudoun Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, which was contained to the kitchen.

A Broadlands family is staying with friends after a kitchen fire Tuesday that also caused smoke damage throughout the home, according to a report from Loudoun County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services.
Fire and rescue units were first alerted to the home on the 22000 block of Highview Trail Place in Broadlands South around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday and found an unoccupied home with a fire burning in the kitchen, according to the report. Firefighters forced entry and extinguished the fire.
The Moorefield, Ashburn, Lansdowne, Kincora, Dulles South and Loudoun fire companies were dispatched to the scene.

The Loudoun Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
No injuries were reported, but eight people, including three minors were displaced because of the incident and are staying with friends, according to the report.
