Woman Killed In DUI Crash: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office

A passenger died and the driver was charged, according to police.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A woman was killed in an intoxicated-driving crash overnight in Brambleton, according to police.

Katherine Ovando Leal, 29, of Brambleton, was a front-seat passenger who was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle incident, which occurred Saturday, just before midnight, on Olympia Drive at Ringneck Place, police said.

The driver, a 36-year-old Brambleton man, was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police, who said he was charged with driving under the influence, with more charges possible.
