Claude Moore Activities Cancelled After Power Outage

Several activities scheduled tonight, Sept. 26, at Claude Moore Recreation Center and at Claude Moore Community Center in Sterling have been canceled because of an earlier power outage.

Power was restored to both centers around 5:30 p.m. and the recreation center will stay open until 9:30 p.m. However, programmed activities have been called off. The community center will reopen Friday, Sept. 27, during normal operating hours.

The swimming pools at rec center remains closed while the water is properly filtered. The competition pool should reopen at 5 a.m. Sept. 27, while the leisure pool will reopen at 9 a.m.
