Pride Kickoff Concert, Taste Of Del Ray, Street Fest Highlight Weekend In DC Region

VIRGINIA — As May turns into June, there will be around Northern Virginia and D.C.

WorldPride is also continuing in Washington, DC with the WorldPride Welcome Ceremony and Concert. Some major events include the WorldPride Welcome Ceremony + Concert, World Pride Welcome Party, Taste of Pride: Dupont Circle BID & 17th Street, Loudoun Pride and Reston PRIDE.

Other notable events this weekend are 38th Annual Festival Argentino, Taste of Del Ray, Union Market Street Fest, Tenley Fest, Fil-Am Spring Fest, Bull Run Wine Festival, Strawberry Jubilee Fest and Northern Virginia Thai Street Food & Culture Festival.

If you're heading to outdoor events, be sure to check the weather forecast before you go. The National Weather Service expects a slow-moving storm system that could bring multiple rounds of showers or thunderstorms starting Friday evening. The region is under a flood watch from 7 p.m. Friday through late Friday. Some of the storms, particularly thunderstorms, could produce heavy rain.

On Saturday, forecasters expect showers — and possibly a thunderstorm after 11 a.m. Precipitation changes continue before 8 p.m. Sunday's weather should clear up to sunny skies with a high in the low 70s.
