$25K Reward Offered In Double Homicide: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office
The sheriff's office is seeking information on a suspect in the killing of two 22-year-olds in Sterling.

STERLING, VA — A $25,000 reward is being offered to identify and arrest a suspect in a Sterling double homicide, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Mijal Conejero-Romera, 22, of Sterling, and Diego Alexander Woollett, 22, of Arlington were killed in a shooting on Aug. 28. Around 4:33 a.m., sheriff's deputies had responded to a disturbance near an apartment complex in the 21000 block of Ridgetop Circle in Sterling. The two victims were found with gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the hospital.
A GoFundMe fundraiser to help Mijal Conejero-Romera's family identified the victim as a girlfriend and boyfriend. Fundraiser organizer Diane McNeil, who is an in-law of Conejero-Romera's sister, said that the family does not have much money and needs to plan a funeral. McNeil said the funeral could happen on Sept. 5, depending on when authorities release Conejero-Romera's body.

"Saying goodbye is never easy, but to me, it's harder because she was so young, 22," McNeil shared. "The way she died was so unexpected. It's hard to even make sense of it."
The sheriff's office continues to actively investigate. Anyone with information can contact Detective Grimsley at 703-777-1021 or anonymously through Loudoun Crime Solver at 703-777-1919.
