The Board of Supervisors voted to eliminate fares for some routes and increase fares for select routes.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Commuters will see fares go up for longer commuter routes and elimination of fares for more local routes after action from the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Wednesday.
The Board of Supervisors held its Transit Summit Wednesday to make decisions regarding future transit service. Loudoun County Transit runs local fixed-route buses as well as commuter bus routes to Rosslyn, Crystal City, the Pentagon, and Washington, D.C. and paratransit services for people with disabilities.
As reported by WTOP, the board voted to eliminate the $1 one-way fare for local routes. These include routes that connect to Silver Line Metro stations. Paratransit fares will also become free. The changes are expected to take effect in 2025.
