Fire and rescue responded to multiple 911 calls in the 100 block of Applegate Drive around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Units found heavy fire and smoke from the back of the single-family home. Units requested a Rapid Intervention Task Force, Emergency Rehabilitation unit and Air unit to bring more firefighters and support for the response. Firefighters confirmed that all residents safely escaped from the home.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control with an attack from the interior and exterior. The fire had spread to both floors of the home and the attic. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters remained for overhaul operations to ensure the fire was completely out.
